About Me

My name is Melodie Weldon and I am a Licensed Mental Health Cousnelor. I have  been in the helping field since the age of 17. It has always been my passion to bring a sense of humor and connection to others. I graduated with a degree in Media Arts, then continued my studies in Mental Health Counseling.

My first few years in the mental health field were focused on group therapy, skill development & crisis intervention. I have experience as a Supervisor and Community Outreach worker in Westchester, Orange and Dutchess County.  I am trained in trauma therapy, postpartum depression/anxiety and mindfulness. My skill set has been focused on interpersonal effectiveness and building self-esteem.

My work has allowed me to develop mental health awareness presentations for students, summer camps and residents in the medical field. I am passionate about therapy and helping others learn how to utilize their lifelines. I believe that everyone struggles with life transitions, childhood encounters and anxiety. It is my belief system that what separates people from one another are their support system and lifelines. The more lifelines we have the better we can be with managing LIFE.
